And Other Bad Decisions......
VERY GOOD ARTICLE ON JDGORDON BELOW ON THE RELEASE OF TERRORISTS FROM GUANTANAMO!
I became friends with JD Gordon during the many months that our small, courageous, patriotic group fought and struggled to support the NAVY's presence in Puerto Rico against all forces, including political parties (the PIP, the PPD, the PNP and radical groups) who did not want the NAVY in PR) .
Sadly, we did not have the political or economic power to win.... but neither did Puerto Rico.
Even today, neither the people, nor any of these "political" institutions accept or are sorry for the enormous mistake they did.
Yet, the repercussions have been a disaster for Puerto Rico.
1. Loss of over 600 million annually that the NAVY spent in PR's local economy then (today it would have been higher)
2. Caused a chaotic economic depression of the surrounding towns, which they have not recovered from even after over 10 years.
3. Loss of thousands of direct and indirect jobs throughout the island.
4. Loss of the Military presence in times of crisis or everyday situations.
5. etc, etc, etc
TODAY, THE PEOPLE OF PUERTO RICO, THE POLITICAL PARTIES, LEADERS, OR OTHER INDIVIDUALS, DO NOT HOLD THEMSELVES ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE SITUATION PUERTO RICO LIVES.
Puerto Ricans cannot continue to blame the leadership in Washington and others for their bad decisions. Today's Puerto Rico is its' own people's fault .
Puerto Ricans do not know or care to know, on how to select their leaders. They are to blame for having elected them for all the wrong reasons..

PROTECT AMERICA TODAY
President Barack Obama is on mission to close Guantanamo Bay no matter how dangerous the prisoners housed there may be, former Pentagon spokesman J.D. Gordon said Thursday on "America’s Forum" on Newsmax TV. President Obama knows that nearly one out of three has gone back to terrorism.
The detainees' release puts American troops in direct harm, according to Gordon, who noted that many soldiers have died trying to arrest and detain the terrorists housed at Gitmo.
