U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi will be in Puerto Rico this weekend to raise funds and take part in a forum on the federal health reform.

The California Democrat is the minority leader in the lower chamber of Congress and was the first-ever woman House speaker.

The fundraiser will take place at the home of Andrés Guillemard, who is the campaign director for Resident Commissioner Pedro Pierluisi, Puerto Rico’s sole representative in Congress.

Pierluisi said the fundraiser aims to bring in $100,000 to support Democrat candidates in the U.S. House. It marks the third year in a row that Pelosi has taken part in the island fundraiser.

She is also set to head a forum on the Obama administration’s Affordable Care Act with island Health Secretary Lorenzo González and Puerto Rico Hospital Association President Jaime Plá Cortés.

  1. MJ, please keep her on your Island, as we don't need her stateside anymore. Not only is she a whacko from California, but we need to check her family tax returns, as well as Romney's....Duff
