Puerto Rico Legislature bars government contractors with business with Venezuela,

The bill “would force every company that does business with the government of Puerto Rico to make a deep exercise of introspection to determine whether directly or indirectly they’re doing business with the Maduro regime,” said former Puerto Rico Secretary of State Kenneth McClintock. "

VantageKnight, founded by Democratic strategist Manuel Ortiz, has represented Puerto Rico since early last year and Citgo since 2016, according to disclosures. 

Mr. Ortiz is a point man in Washington for Gov. Rosselló, who has requested billions of dollars in additional disaster aid for Puerto Rico as well as changes in how the territory is treated under a range of federal programs. Vantage Knight’s (Manuel Ortiz's current contract with the territory is worth $690,000, according to Puerto Rico records."
