Some of Carlin's comments apply to Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is under the category of "foreign country" in the US Tax Code, so as to provide special tax benefits for multinational corporations, called CFC's (Controlled Foreign Corporations - we are the foreign component).
It is all but impossible to get by this obstacle to achieve free determination.
Their army of lobbyists, attorneys, and local wealth (remnants of the colonial "sugar barons") are always on guard to protect Puerto Rico's status quo. They will destroy anyone who gets in their way.
Puerto Rico's territorial political and economic empire includes the CFC's, an army of highly paid lobbyists and lawyers, local businessmen, corrupt politicians and greedy individuals, who have full control our lives and future. MJ
