The George Soros Foundation funds the Puerto Rico based CNE (Center for New Economy) which is patronized by the elite ruling rich class in Puerto Rico, USA, and whose main goal is to use the US Territory of Puerto Rico as an offshore Tax Shelter and control all the Island's "elected" governments' decisions for their own personal and business benefit.
This enormous economic global power, is responsible for Puerto Ricans' lack of political power and the resulting economic stagnancy. Because of the lack of economic and democratic resources, the strapped US citizens of Puerto Rico are disabled to achieve our aspirations to resolve the status and become a State of the Union. Statehood is not the goal of the moguls' economic interest.
