Puerto Rico brewer creates new premium beerThe company that makes the popular Medalla brand says it has created a new premium lager called Magna Special Craft. Cervecera de Puerto Rico said in a statement it invested $100 million to produce the beer with technology from Germany and hops from the Czech Republic. It is being produced at the brewery in the western city of Mayaguez and was expected to hit stores this week.
